We have introduced chia seeds and their various possibilities to Europe.
Our chia seeds. Produced according to EU organic standards. Or to conventional standards.
Sachia® chia seeds – a name that is synonymous with quality.
In 2006, we took the first step in creating a vertical supply chain in chia cultivation. Today, with the help of local farmers, we harvest our Sachia® chia seed on 2,500 hectares of land, which we can expand when needed. It is grown according to certified organic standards (SMETA, Naturland) and to conventional standards.
Modern cleaning systems on site ensure maximum purity and product quality.
We started the development of chia cultivation in Uganda in 2015. Today, we grow organic and conventional chia in the Kitwanga and Oyam regions. Due to the proximity to the equator, up to three harvests per year are possible, depending on the weather conditions. We consistently observe crop rotation methods in every area we cultivate to ensure soils can regenerate in a natural way. Our Ecocert-certified project in Uganda employs over 2,000 people, providing them with a secure future.
